Movie #5: Misery

Volevo vedere un film ispirato da un libro di Stephen King. Avendo già visto IT, Carrie e Shining (secondo me uno dei film horror più sensazionali di sempre), ho deciso che avrei guardato Misery. Senza perdermi troppo in chiacchiere, dico subito che non è un horror, bensì un thriller. Il film ha come protagonista uno scrittore, che rimarrà poi vittima di un incidente, ma, "fortunatamente", verrà poi ritrovato e curato da una sua accanitissima fan. Nessuna scena particolarmente sconvolgente a livello visivo (proprio perchè non è un horror, né tanto meno uno splatter), ma tensione e suspence sono garantite. Sicuramente un bel film, ma se davvero ve la volete fare sotto, vi consiglio Shining.

I wanted to watch a movie inspired by a Stephen King's novel. I'd already seen IT, Carrie and Shining (one of the most sensational horror movie ever), so I decided to watch Misery. Without losing time, I tell you it's not an horror movie; it's a thriller. Misery's main character is a famous writer who has a car crush but , "luckily", one of his fans finds him. There are no extremely cruel scenes (in fact it's not an horror or a splatter neither), but suspence is guaranteed. A good movie for sure, but if you want to get scared, I recommend Shining.
